How we are paid

If you work with a buyer we refer, the buyer pays us a fee. It does not come out of your price.

Not an appraisal. Ranges come from published listings and reported deals, with sources shown.

The people in your records

Names become stand-ins, such as Employee 632, before anyone outside sees a sample. Recordings go out only with consent.

Show the notice

A notice you can send your team

We are looking at licensing some of our work records to companies that build AI tools. These are records of how we work, such as tickets, procedures and internal threads. Customer and client records stay out, and so do personnel files. Before anyone outside the company sees a sample, names and other details that identify a person are replaced with stand-ins. Recordings or video that include you go out only where your consent covers them. Nothing is final until [owner name] signs, and you can ask [contact name] any question before then.

What a fair agreement contains

We ask for these terms in every deal.

  • Permitted use, spelled out
  • No use to compete
  • A fixed license term
  • Deletion on request, with proof
  • No re-licensing without consent
  • Audit rights for you
  • A named de-identification standard
  • Payment within stated days

Questions owners ask

Do you want my customer data?

No, and nobody else is asking for it. Customer and client records come out before anything is valued.

What data do you even mean?

The records your staff make while they do their jobs, such as tickets, procedures, code and training video. See the records by department.

Is this legal?

Most companies can license this kind of data, but client files, health information, personnel files and material under a nondisclosure agreement stay out. We do not give legal advice, and your counsel reviews every agreement.

What about client confidentiality, HIPAA or privilege?

Those records stay out by rule, under ABA Model Rule 1.6, 26 U.S.C. 7216 and the de-identification standard in 45 CFR 164.514. Your counsel decides what is in scope.

Will my competitors get it?

Buyers are AI labs that build models to do office work, not firms in your market. We ask for a clause against competing uses in every agreement.

Do I lose ownership?

No. You license the records for a fixed term and keep ownership, and we tell you when an offer is a sale and not a license.

What do AI companies do with it?

They build training environments that look like real workplaces, so their models learn how work gets done.

Is this a scam?
Why would anyone pay for this?

Public and synthetic data cannot show how a real company operates. Records that real staff made over years can.

How much, realistically?

Depending on what you keep, our estimate is $20,000 to more than $2,000,000 for a company's records. The free check shows the range for yours.

How long does it take?

We put your records in front of every buyer that fits within 24 hours. Offers come typically in one to two weeks, and some companies get none.

What does it cost me?

Nothing. If you work with a buyer we refer, the buyer pays us a fee. It does not come out of your price.

Do I have to do the work?

Very little. You give read-only access or a one-time export, and we do the rest.

What about my staff in the data?

Names are replaced with stand-ins before anyone sees a sample, and recordings go out only where consent covers them. We give you a short notice to send your team.

Will customers or investors see this badly?

It is a licensing deal with no customer data in it, scoped in writing. You can say it in one line: we licensed records of how we work, with names removed, for a fixed term.

Someone offered us $75,000. Is that good?

It depends on your size, your years of records and the kind of records. Run the free check for your own range, and ask us to compare the offer.

Warning signs

Walk away if you see any of these.

  • A deadline of under a week.
  • A request for files before signing.
  • Anyone who asks you for a fee.
  • An offer to buy your records outright.
