Ranges are our estimates. They are built from public deal reports, court records and filings, and from market conversations. We do not link to the buyers we negotiate with.

Law and professional rules

Some records cannot be licensed. These rules keep law firm client files, accounting client data and protected health information out. We do not give legal advice. Your counsel reviews every agreement.

• American Bar Association, Model Rule 1.6, Confidentiality of information. A lawyer may not reveal information about the representation of a client without consent. Law firm client files stay out.
• 26 U.S.C. 7216, Cornell Legal Information Institute. Limits how tax return preparers disclose or use tax return information. Accounting client data stays out.
• 45 CFR 164.514, Electronic Code of Federal Regulations. Sets the standard for de-identifying protected health information. Protected health information stays out.
